A9 "Agate" vase

This vase has a figure that is very elegant. It rest on handmade feet that follow the contour line. The lip is naturally uneven, a result of a not so perfect centering job. I could have trimmed it, but the natural line seemed to have its own beauty.

 

B9 "Agate" vase II

The glaze on this series is fired slightly higher than was recommended, but the results were great. The green begins to separate a little reminding me of rocks containing variations of colors. The brown spots spread further than when fired at the correct temperature.

 

 

B11 "Rich soil" vase

Wheel thrown and glazed in layers. The rich warm brown color reminds me of fertile soil ready to give forth a good harvest.
