A6 "strata" jar
cone 5 stone ware - SOLD
The warm iron glaze and unique handbuilt give  this jar a slightly oriental feeling. The finger trail marks left during the throwing process were further enhanced while trimming. A slight Wabi Sabi moment made this jar one of my favorites.

B6 "Palm Jar"
cone 5 stone ware - SOLD
      6" x 3 1/2"
I call this the palm jar because the shape and weight are just the right balance that it feels great in the palm of your hand. Glazed in a layer of colors that result in a beautiful green with iron accents. This one of kind piece of pottery would a perfect addition to the right side table.

A7 carved jar

B7 "Having Fun"
       ^03 earthen ware - SOLD
       7" x 4"
This jar was a product of a just having fun night. My girls and I were playing in the studio. I was showing them how to work with a clay, slip and score, smoothing, creating texture etc. This was the result of their lesson. I'll have to put some of their work up, they are getting pretty good.

C7 "Moondrift Salt" jar
      ^06 earthenware - SOLD
     6" x 4 1/2" - (not food safe)
My sister in law named this little jar. The somewhat gritty matte texture reminded her of a salt fired glaze. The picture doesn't show the real beauty of this glaze.

A8 "Snail" jar
     ^06 earthenware - SOLD
     5 1/2" x 4" - (not food safe)
Name after the snail that adorns the lid. What can I say - I went through a little snail faze, snails were one everything.

C9 "mini jewel" jar
      ^05 earthenware - SOLD
      3" x 11/2" (not food safe)

C10 "Living" jar
         ^06 earthenware - SOLD
        6 1/2" x 4" x 3" (not food safe)
This jar was hand built from slab and coils. The lid and side ungulate and swell making appear almost as if it is taking a breath. The bronze/brown decoration remind me of vines climbing the sides. The orange glaze is speckled with brown and black with occasional mossy like crystals.

A11 "Aurora" series jars
^5 stoneware - small SOLD, med. SOLD, large SOLD All of these jars are wheel thrown with hand formed knobs. There is five different glazes layered together in a loose spontaneous manner.

Although this jar is smaller in size the surface has great depth. By layering glazes the colors range form milky white to a deep blue. Just under the top surface rich iron brown peeks through. Goddess jar 1
size 5" x 2 1/2"
cone 6 stoneware
SOLD
Goddess jar 2
size: 5 1/2" x 3"
cone 6 stoneware
SOLD
This jar was part of commission for a goddess party. A series of 12 jars were created to give to unique women. Each jar had it own character just as each of the women, but the finneals ties them altogether just as each of the women are tied together in a special way.

This delicate little jar was part of the Goddess jar series. I always make extra pieces when I am commisioned - just in case something goes wrong. These jars are just the right size to store special treasures. Great for gifts.
